Amazing products such as:
WORKDOGS ONE NIGHT ONLY
This record was originally issued on In The Red and the Workdogs were never
happy with it. RobK revisited the master tapes and remixed the new record.
He added nearly 40 minutes of previously unreleased material from the One
Night Only sessions, including a board tape of the band - Workdogs featuring
Jon Spencer and Jerry Teel - at CBGB'S. Hear Jon Spencer's very first forays
into playing the Theremin. Hear a passle of new RobK lyrics. These remixed
tapes are currently being remastered by legendary producer Jim Waters and
will be the first release on the newly revamped King Dog Biscuit CD label.
WORKDOGS NYC'S #1 ANTIDRUGSEX BAND
DVD Compilation of some of the finest Workdog performances ever video taped.
Guest appearances by the Gibson Brothers, Jad Fair, Jon Spencer, Christina
Martinez, Samoa, Jerry Williams, Don Fleming, Jack Martin, Jerry Teel. See
the 'Dogs rock their Ludlow Street home, Max Fish. Cable TV appearances. The
video for Jane Gone produced by the Workdogs and Tess Hughes Freeland. And
much, much more. Twenty hours of video tapes are presently being edited.
This one is going to take a while, but it will definitely be worth the wait.
THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS RECORDINGS
Yves Bisquet was obliged as part of a settlement with the Internal Revenue
Service to donate all of his Workdogs master tapes to the Library of
Congress. He is now in the process of sorting through those tapes with the
library's curators. The eventual goal of this research will be a trio of
releases: ON THE RADIO, IN THE STUDIO, and LIVE. The Workdogs infamous
ex-manager is now cataloging 35 hours of Workdogs radio appearances. These
extremely high fidelity recordings feature some of the 'Dogs most favorite
sidemen in an extremely relaxed atmosphere. (The Workdogs were regular drop
in guests on WFMU's overnight shows through the Eighties and Ninties.) Hear
Rob and Scott expound on their days in the Union Gap. Their theories on
'self prescribed, self administered doses of the proper medication for the
proper situation.' The Workdogs were perhaps at their very, very best in the
middle of the night bantering with DJs and spinning their wildly topical
yarns into blues songs. This CD will be released as a joint venture by KDB
and the Library Of Congress and is sure to be a HUGE hit!
DIME STORE DANCE BAND
King Dog Biscuit is negotiating with the DSDB to make
their recordings available to you. Check in regularly at workdogs.net.
